How Community Feedback Will Shape the Plan

While much of this study will be based on scientific assessments of the infrastructure, wildlife patterns, and potential climate impacts, we will look to community members to share their lived experiences to help ensure recommendations align with the needs of the people who live, work, and play in Cambria and San Simeon.
Community input will help the project team:
- Understand where recommendations can serve more than one of the project’s goals and build stronger climate resilience, increased mobility access, and safer roads for wildlife and people.
- Prioritize scenarios that will have the greatest benefit to Cambria and San Simeon residents.
- Better understand wildlife concerns of the community including where and when they see them, any recent changes in activity, and known causes or concerns.
- Understand needs around improving mobility, road safety and connectivity for residents traveling within the study area, including their mode of travel and lived experiences of where issues exist.
